BIG Research among China’s Top 10 Events in Basic Reserch in 2009
Research on superhybrid rice functional gene, cooperated by Beijing Institute of Genomics (BIG), Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, and National Hybrid Rice Research and Development Center, was selected for China’s top 10 events in basic research in 2009, as reported on January 14, 2010. The research paper has been published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of USA (http://www.pnas.org/content/106/19/7695). The annual top 10 events in basic research are organized by the Basic Research Management Center under the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology and selected by anonymous voting from thousands of Chinese scholars.
