A delegation from Iran, led by Dr.Jahangir Porhemmat,, Deputy Minister and Head of AREEO, visited Beijing Institute of Genomics (BIG), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) on Aug 15. A symposium hosted by LI Junxiong, deputy director of BIG was held in the conference room.

 At the symposium, Dr. YAN Jiangwei, the director of Science & Technology Department of BIG, briefly introduced the institute first, Dr. Jahangir Porhemmat raised some questions about agriculture, crop pest, food safety, vaccine and water pollution, and the two parties exchanged views on those topic. After in-depth discussions, both sides want to deepen cooperation with each other to promote mutual development.
