Beijing Institute of Genomics (BIG), Chinese Academy of Sciences, was founded in November 2003, dedicated to frontier scientific research and technological development in genomics. In November 2019, with the approval of the State Commission Office for Public Sector Reform, BIG was authorized to use the additional name "China National Center for Bioinformation (CNCB)". CNCB is entrusted with the strategic mission of unified collection, centralized storage, secure management, and open sharing of China's big bioinformatics data.
CNCB has always attached great importance to talent team building and young talent cultivation. In 2020, CNCB was approved as a "National Demonstration Base for Innovative Talent Training", striving to build a talent special zone for piloting talent training policies and institutional mechanisms. Qualifications:
1.Have good scientific ethics, be committed to devoting oneself wholeheartedly to the construction of the CNCB in the future.
2.Be under 40 years of age.
3.Hold a doctoral degree.
4.Have achieved research or technological results recognized by peers, and possess the potential to become academic leaders or outstanding talents.
Support, Salary and Benefits
Selected high-level talents will be offered the following relevant benefits and supporting support:
1.Appointment to the position of Senior Researcher Grade 4 or Senior Engineer Grade 4, and as a doctoral supervisor.
2.Competitive scientific research initiation funds and special talent grants, as well as high-standard housing subsidies for settlement.
3.Provision of necessary scientific research and office space.
4.Competitive salary, with a negotiated salary system.
5.Provision of a set of transitional housing for talents.
For particularly outstanding talents who are in urgent need for the construction of the National Center for Bioinformation, a "case-by-case discussion" approach will be adopted to provide further preferential support.
