BIG Held the Kick-off Meeting for CAS Strategic Priority Research Program “Precision Health Study of Chinese Population based on Multi-dimensional Big Data”
On Oct 27, the kick-off meeting for the Strategic Priority Research Program of Chinese Academy of Sciences (category B) entitled “Precision Health Study of Chinese Population based on Multi-dimensional Big Data” was convened in Beijing. Researchers who participating the program, officials of the CAS Frontier Science and Education Bureau, government officials of Ningbo and Chongqing attended the meeting.
Prof. XUE Yongbiao, Director of Beijing Institute of Genomics, CAS/China National Center for Bioinformation (CNCB) delivered a welcome speech. Prof. XU Tao, Director of the CAS Frontier Science and Education Bureau, believes that the program will promote the application and transformation of achievements and cooperation with local health industry development. Prof. WU Jiarui, the co-leading scientist of the program, reported the overall implementation plan based on the strategic priority research program.
The meeting ended with a signing ceremony of cooperation agreement between CAS and Ningbo/Chongqing government on the building of the East Center/Chongqing Center of the biobank for the program.
