Sino-EU PerMed Delegation visited BIG (CNCB)

On the morning of October 10, Ejner Moltzen, Chair of ICPerMed, led a Sino-EU PerMed delegation of 11 people visited the Beijing Genome Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (National Center for Biological Information). YANG Yungui, director of the BIG (CNCB) and representatives of PIs participated in the symposium.

YANG Yungui warmly welcomes the Sino-EU PerMed delegation. Then CI Weimin, Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Precision Genome Medicine, introduced the history of BIG (CNCB) and the scientific research progress made by the laboratory in precision medicine. Dr. Sabine Puch, team leader from German Aerospace Center-Project Management Agency (DLR-PT), introduced the Sino-EU PerMed project and its implementation. The project aims to promote international cooperation in personalized medical research and innovation, research funding, and policies.

Both sides had in-depth exchanges on issues such as cohort study, the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and the sharing and utilization of biological big data resources. The two sides will take this exchange as an opportunity to promote international cooperation in the field of precision medicine.
