China National Center for Bioinformation (CNCB) Held a Meeting to Convey the Decision and Deployment Made by the Party Group of CAS
Recently, the Party Group of CAS considered and passed the work plan for the construction of the China National Center for Bioinformation (CNCB), and appointed the leadership team of the Center. On the morning of April 12, the CNCB held a meeting to convey the personnel and work deployments made by the Party Group of CAS, and further made a mobilization for the next step of work on the construction of CNCB.
HUANG Tieqing, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director, presided over the meeting and read out the Notice about the Appointment of YANG Yungui, etc., made by the Party Group of CAS. YANG Yungui has been appointed as the Director of the CNCB, and HUANG Tieqing, WANG Qianfei and ZHAO Wenming as the Deputy Directors of the Center.
Afterwards, YANG Yungui, Director of the Center, conveyed the important decision and deployment of the Party Group Meeting of CAS on the construction of CNCB, and introduced the main contents of the construction work plan. At the same time, he mobilized the next construction and reform work of the center and demanded all the staff of the center to follow the requirements of the Party Group of CAS by closely focusing on the positioning and goals of biological big data management and service functions, being determined and accelerating transformation. Through attracting and gathering the excellent talents that fit the positioning, more efforts will be made to push forward the construction of the center, and meanwhile, continuously promote the centralized intersection management of the biological big data in the center. Every scientific research management and support staff should be actively devoted to tackling the key task, prompt organization and implementation of the special supporting projects, and through overcoming difficulties and forging ahead with fortitude, making substantial contributions to the construction and development of CNCB.
The meeting participants include all members of the Center's leadership team, heads of departments and laboratories/centers, research backbone of associate professor or above, and all staff of management departments.
