Delegation from Enterprise Singapore Visits CNCB
A delegation led by Ms. LOW Yuewen, Regional Director (China-North) of Enterprise Singapore, along with two colleagues, visited the China National Center for Bioinformation (CNCB) on November 3, 2025.
YANG Yungui, director of CNCB, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and emphasized the strong cooperation and active exchanges between Singapore and China across economic, scientific, technological, and cultural domains. He noted that CNCB places great importance on collaborating with institutions from Singapore. In response, Ms. LOW Yuewen introduced Enterprise Singapore, the government agency championing enterprise development in Singapore. She stated that the purpose of their visit was to better understand CNCB’s initiatives and to explore potential collaborations for Singapore enterprises.
Professor SONG Shuhui, Head of the Bioinformatics Service Department at CNCB, outlined the CNCB’s evolution and transformation, shared updates on the construction progress of the Zhangjiakou Park. She also elaborated on CNCB’s data resource system. In addition, Prof. SONG introduced the "International Big Data Alliance for Biodiversity and Health" (BHBD), launched by CNCB in 2018, detailing the alliance’ s achievements in personnel exchanges, training programs, international conference organization, and project collaborations in recent years. She further outlined CNCB’s international cooperation network and future development plans.
The two sides also exchanged views on issues related to cross-border big data sharing, as well as strategies for enhancing data management and utilization. Both parties agreed on the shared goal of enhancing cooperation and expanding exchanges.
