Introduction
Dr. LI Rujiao’s research group is strategically oriented to address the critical national needs for science and technology security and biological data security in the fields of life sciences and bioinformatics. The group has long been engaged in the construction of biological big data resource systems, the integration and secure governance of multi-omics data, and the independent development of key databases and core platforms. The databases led by the team, including MethBank, scMethBank, and the EWAS Open Platform, have formed a comprehensive platform covering epigenetic data–information–knowledge–tools across multiple species and hierarchical levels. Notably, in August 2025, the team’s “High-Quality DNA Methylation Dataset for Complex Human Traits” was selected as one of the first exemplary high-quality datasets by the National Data Administration. In recent years, the team has also actively applied artificial intelligence technologies to life science data mining and analysis, undertaking multiple projects.
