Introduction

Dr. Ying Yang is the Professor at the China National Center for Bioinformation. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Shandong University in 2009 and her Ph.D. in Genomics from the Beijing Institute of Genomics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, under the supervision of Dr. Yun-Gui Yang, in 2014. She has conducted her scientific research at Beijing Institute of Genomics, Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2014.

Her research interests mainly focus on (1) pioneering new technologies in single-cell and spatially resolved RNA multi-omics sequencing and bioinformatics analysis to generate high-quality datasets; (2) utilizing these resources to build an AI-ready corpus for RNA multi-omics, providing a foundational data infrastructure; and (3) developing integrated analysis algorithms to decode spatiotemporal dynamics and precise regulatory mechanisms. She has published over 60 papers (first/co-first: 16; corresponding/co-corresponding: 18) on peer-reviewed journals, including Nature, Molecular Cell, Nature Cell Biology, Cell Research, Nature Communications, etc. She has been selected as a member of the Beijing Nova Program (2020) and an excellent member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2022), also a member of the youth editorial board of Journals including Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics, The Innovation, Science China Life Sciences, and the youth committee member of the RNA branch of the Chinese Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
