The research unit focuses on large-scale bioinformatics data infrastructure and governance, with research and technical development centered on bioinformatics data storage and integration, data and network security governance, and intelligent data analysis platforms. By integrating bioinformatics, computer science, and information engineering, the group supports genomics and life sciences research through stable, secure, and sustainable bioinformation systems and contributes to the long-term operation of national bioinformation infrastructures.

HUANG Rui is a Professor (Senior Engineer) at the Beijing Institute of Genomics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (China National Center for Bioinformation). His research interests focus on large-scale bioinformatics data, information infrastructure, network security, and artificial intelligence applications in life sciences.
He has long been engaged in the construction and operation of large-scale information systems and scientific data platforms, with extensive experience in bioinformatics data storage and integration, data security governance, penetration testing, and intelligent system development. He has led and participated in multiple national- and CAS-level projects related to bioinformation platforms, information infrastructure, and digital governance, contributing to the long-term operation of bioinformatics infrastructures and life sciences research.
